Frequently asked questions

FAQ

Here you can find quick answers to common questions about file delivery, turnaround times, revisions and workflow.

How does the service work?

Geco Studio works online: you send us your material over the internet, we work on it in the studio and deliver it back online.

Do you work only online?

Yes. The service is designed to work online, making project handling simple, direct and flexible.

What services do you offer?

Geco Studio offers music production, arrangement, mixing, stereo mastering and stem mastering services.

Do you also handle full productions?

Yes. If you have a musical idea to develop, we can also help shape, arrange and define the track.

What kind of files should I send?

It depends on the requested service. For mixing, you should send separate, well-exported tracks with clear names. For mastering, you should send a final stereo file or, in the case of stem mastering, a limited number of well-organized stems.

For full details, go to the Specs page.

How many stems can I send for stem mastering?

Stems should not exceed 6 units and must be clearly labeled.

Can I include a reference track?

Yes, and it is very useful. A sonic reference helps us understand the kind of sound, balance and atmosphere you want to achieve.

Can I also include a rough mix?

Yes. If available, a rough mix is useful to understand your starting point and the direction you imagine for the track.

How long does delivery take?

For mastering, delivery is generally within 5 working days. For mixing, turnaround depends on the number of tracks and the complexity of the project.

How many revisions are included?

We generally include 3 revisions. If more changes are needed, they can be discussed afterwards.

Do you use artificial intelligence for mixing and mastering?

No. Our approach is not based on automatic processes or AI-driven mixing. The work is done with listening, experience, technique and musical sensitivity.

Can I speak with you before sending the material?

Yes. If needed, we are available for phone or video calls to better understand the project and your needs.

Do you offer a new client promotion?

Yes. For new clients:
